Just a short post today, about my trip to the summit of the nearby Mount Canobolas.
The drive up there was nice, because autumn’s setting in here in Orange, which means the leaves are starting to change colour:

I like that they aren’t all the way there yet – I don’t know why, but I like just the hint of red and gold and orange with the green.
It was a short drive outside of town to the summit, but there were some roadworks going on, which meant that part of the drive was over dirt and mud. Which made my car wash yesterday seem very pointless, but I suppose the windscreen and mirrors and hood are still nice and clean.
The view from the summit:

It was a lovely view, and the overcast weather seemed to make the land and the sky blend together at the horizon, which was kind of trippy. It was also pretty chilly up there, so I didn’t stick around.
I told you it was a short post.
It’s good that you are not a liar!
Love your work.

It’s fascinating watching the trees change colour – we don’t get a lot of that in Brisbane.
