I’ve basically been messing around on the beach for the past two days, but today I went back into Bellingen for some shopping!
So, I thought I’d treat you guys to come pictures of Bellingen’s actual township, which you missed the first time around.
First up, the bank Dad hoped would have an ATM:

It did not, because that would have involved altering the original architecture.
The bank next to it:

As you can see, Bellingen kept a lot of the old buildings and shopfronts, and there’s only one main street, so it really feels like a quaint little town. For example:

The whole of the main street looks like this. This is a clothes store next to the supermarket:

A close-up of the old shop front layout:

Yes, they’re advertising ironmongers alongside groceries and millinery. Quite the one-stop shopping destination.
This is the front of the supermarket – an IGA:

The newsagents:

The Federal, where my parents and I had dinner:

So now everyone has a better idea of what Bellingen looks like. I got some gelato (sour cherry sorbet), did some shopping, and went back to Turtle Shell.
Great little place. Thanks for taking us there again! xx

When I realised I didn’t have any photos of the town, I needed to fix that.

It’s great! I took a long walk in the Dorrigo rainforest, so that’ll be up soon. How’s Nipper (who you now own)?
