I packed up and left for Armidale.
Before I went though, Cec introduced me to Goatey, the goat that lives at the Glen Rest caravan park. Here he is with Cec:

Then it was on to Armidale! I almost ran over a brown snake as it scurried across the highway, but I think I managed to guide and car and caravan away in time. I met up with Mum and Aunty Sandy in the caravan park, and they helped me park Turtle Shell. Then we all drove out to the farm!
There were lots of cows with calves on the road to the farmhouse:

These are Aberdeen Angus cows, with Hereford a few generations back. They were being quite loud when we were there – have a listen:
Mum and Aunty Sandy at the farm:
We had a look around the garden, and a rose bush was blooming beautifully:

An apple tree was full of blossoms as well:
And bees!
Not just the usual honey bees. There were some native bees as well:

And a fruit fly (not sure which species, exactly):

We fed the horses and then went back into town. We went out to dinner, and Mum was surprised by a birthday cake. This is all four of us (me, Mum, Aunty Sandy and Martin) at the restaurant:

Finally – full of good food – we waddled back home and went to bed.
Waddled…lol
